09/09/2018 - Week 8

I cannot stop thinking about the fact that the time goes by too fast! We love our pup's, they are so cute and fill our days with joy. If we could we would not give them away. Its wonderful to have them around, watch them grow, but you know the day will come when you have to hand them over, hopefully into good, loving and gentle hands! But for now they are still here and we enjoy the playtime during our busy days. Unfortunately the weather was rather bad this weekend. We tried to take them outside to do p+p but it almost got colder by the minute. Benny did not even want to get out anymore. Our small pup certainly likes it dry better. Maybe only because he gets cold faster. The rest of the bunch still had a blast outside despite the rain!

09/04/2018 - VET-VISIT

Today the puppies had an appointment at the VET. So I might say that they did not enjoy it very much. Who likes to be poked with needles? Mom Fine was not a big support for them. She only wanted to sit on my lap and was happy to get out of there. We were also happy about the breaking news that all the boys have 2 testicles! Yeh! For the rest of the day we all took it easy, since the "Hav-Pup-Bunch" was a bit sleepy after the vaccination! The vaccination included Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo and Parainfluenza.

09/02/2018 - Week 7:

Time just fly's by and our little ones are already 7 weeks old.

Billy is a very balanced and playful puppy, open to everything new! He is so fun to watch! And, he is for sure the BEST eater!

Bobby loves to play with Bella even though she can get rough. He is also getting winy ... when he wants to get out of the cage and explore the world.

Bella is a crazy playful puppy, full of energy but also a love bug. She is a slow eater and we have to protect her food from being eaten by her big brothers.

Benny is such a cuty. He is still the smallest pup. He is rather calm, but at times he tries to make everybody else play with him and takes on the big boys.

Balou is our calmest pup, he sleeps a little longer. He already know where he is supposed to pee. And he still has the most beautiful eyes!

08/19/2018 - The puppies are 5 weeks old!

Our little ones have become very mobile and playful. The characters start to open up and its interesting to watch them interacting with each other.

Bella for instance likes to play wild games with her brothers Billy and Bobby. Balou is more on the quiet side and loves to sleep. Benny, our small pup, seems to be pretty smart. He has managed to occupy the big bed by himself. Bobby is the biggest pup and he seems to have a medium energy level. He likes to play, he is also very curious and he definitely enjoys a nap time, too. Today the pup's receive their second de-worming medication.

The weights of today are:

Billy: 1006 g

Benny: 790 g

Balou: 1022 g

Bella: 940 g

Bobby: 1149 g

08/12/2018 - Day 29:

4 weeks have passed and the puppies moved into a bigger play pen. The next big task will be to learn where to go potty. Since figuring that out takes "some time" the days of constantly running the washing machine have started. Secondly the pup's are learning to eat by themselves. So they get 3 meals a day now and mom Fine is happy about it, first because she has finally more time to rest and sleep. But she also loves to finish the remaining puppy food.

08/05/18 - Day 21:

The puppies are 3 weeks old and are getting bigger and more mobile. This weekend they have started to pee all by themselves. What a mile stone!!

Benny was the first, who would have thought that :-). They have received their first de-worming medication on Saturday and every pup did shake its head ... expressing strong disagreement with the taste. I believe it will not get easier next time!

Current weights:

Billy: 481g

Benny: 395 g

Balou: 572 g

Bella: 562 g

Bobby: 580 g

07/29/18 - Day 14

The puppies have opened their eyes during the last couple of days. I think the first one was Billy. He has also started to get up on his four feet. That is too cute since it does not really work, but he does not give up. Good job tiny tot!

07/15/18: The B-litter has arrived!

Our puppies were born on Sunday morning; 4 males and 1 female. Everything happened very fast and without any complications. Now we are looking forward to a couple of very busy but also wonderful weeks with the puppies :-) !

February 22nd 2017: "Happy 1st Birthday" pup's!

Our little ones are now 1 year old. All 3 are doing fine and we are so proud of you!

Taz and Abby

Mom Fine

Sophie and her new bro

November, 6th, 2016

We visited 8 month old Sophie (Ayleen) at her new home. It was so wonderful to see her again. Thanks all of you to give us this great opportunity. Fine, Sophies mom, came with us. Especially Sophie was really excited to meet her mom again. It was such a pleasure to watch them. Both were running around constantly, giving us a very hard time to take decent pictures :-). But we got a couple ...

Sophie has kept her wonderful creme color on her back and ears, her eyes are so big and dark, and her nose and lips are

perfectly pigmented. She is such a pretty girl! But even more important is the fact, that her VET was very pleased about her

health and appearance. Sophie has turned into a gorgeous looking dog with a wonderful funny open character

We are sooo proud of you Sophie!

October, 2016

We received a new picture from little Abby.

She has gained a bit of weight and is now around 9lb ...

... but as little as she is, we were told that she has a big personality!

Greetings from all of us and a big hug!

August, 22nd, 2016

Happy "Half-Year-Birthday" little ones!

You made the first mile stone and we are sooo proud of you!

We could not help but sending each a small present, that represents an important part of their "parents" life ... a squeaky toy! Sophie has already familiarized herself with the crocodile that has been with us for "multiple generations" :-)

Bye the way, Abby's weight has increased to 8 lbs and she will definately be smaller than both her siblings.

July 2016 -

Our havanese are enjoying the summer weather outside, playing, sleeping and ... protecting the garden from INVADERS ... like squirrels and chipmunks :-)

07/04/2016

News from Taz and Abby: They spent the 4th of July together, playing until they collapsed into an armchair!!

06/24/2016

Here are new pictures from our first born Ayleen, who is now called Sophie. We love her new name! It is great to hear that she gets along very well with her new big brother. We were told that she is so smart and absolutely worships him. And she certainly is a good eater - she always was :-) - with a current weight of 8lb and 5oz.

Thank you very much Cynthia!

06/16/2016 - Puppies are 4 months old.

Today we received pictures from Taz (Aldo) and Abby. Love them!  Thank you very much Sheila!

We were told that Abby and Taz both are good eaters. Taz's current weight is 7.5 lb and Abby weighs 5.5 lb.

They travel well even when it comes to pretty long distances. And luckily they see each other often and can still play and wrestle with one another. When it comes to housebreaking Taz is doing better. And maybe that comes as no surprise because Taz was the first who used the peepad regularly and had less accidents. Sheila, here is my favorite motto that I want to pass on to you:

"Never give up, never surrender!" We had to be very patient with our Fine in young years. We were lucky with Indy though who was  housebroken when he was 4 month. That is how different they are.

Very often we wonder how the 3 are. That is the hardest part of handing over a puppy to new owners. Our thoughts will always be with them as long as they live. And we will always worry a bit hoping they are well. And therefore we appreciate any information about the dogs and hopefully our worries will be gone ... one day :-)

05/13/2016

The last of the Trio, Ayleen, has found her forever home and has left us today. She now lives with a wonderful family of dog lovers who has recently lost their 12 year old female Havanese due to a sudden disease. We hope that our little girl will bring them as much joy as their Abby did. We know you can not replace a dog. They all have a unique character. But we are sure our happy little Ayleen will bring them wonderful moments of delight - the Ayleen way! We wish you all the best little girl!

05/12/2016

Indy is celebrating his 4th Birthday today. What is so special about it is the fact that he can spend it playing with his daughter Ayleen. Ayleen is very much attracted to Indy and has been trying hard over the last couple of weeks to catch his attention. Her tireless effort finally got rewarded. Now he plays with her in a very nice and gentle way. Super cute to watch them!

05/01/2016

Our little Ayleen gets a lot of attention now and a lot of belly rubs as compensation for the loss of her siblings. This morning her mama Fine played with Ayleen for hours. I think both needed it.

She got visited by 2 young girls and she seemingly enjoyed it. Thanks Nancy for bringing them over to visit our little one.

04/30/2016

Today, at the age of 10 weeks, we had to say Good bye to Abby and Aldo. It was both a sad and a happy moment: Sad for us and happy for our dogs who have each found a very nice home for the years to come. They did not move too far away and best of all, Aldo and Abby will stay in touch with each other! Thank you for trusting us and I wish you a lot of fun (knowing that it also is a lot of work to raise a puppy :-) with both. Abby and Aldo; we will never forget you!

Nevertheless all 3 got their 10 weeks deworming medication.

04/24/2016

Our puppies are 9 weeks old and they are doing fine. They have received the first puppy vaccination and got chipped the same time. Deworming was due again at 8 weeks. Since the weather has become much nicer we were able to take them into the garden, let them run around freely but also introduced them to the leash. Every day we take the pups individually on a brief car ride but so far they have not been too happy about it. There is still room for improvement!

Weights at 8 weeks:

Ayleen 4.3lb,

Abby 3.5 lb,

Aldo 4.5

04/10/2016

Now the puppies are 7 weeks old. It is a shame how fast time goes by. They have become a happy, playful and beautiful TRIO of Havanese that keeps us pretty busy. Aldo, the biggest of them, is confident but careful in situations he does not know. He is the strongest and seems to be the leader of the three. Aldo loves to play with his mom Fine and he still tries to get a sip of milk from her whenever possible. But Fine does not like that anymore. Puppie teeth are very sharp!!!

Ayleen seems to be the most laid-back puppie, well balanced. She is eating very well, also loves to play with everybody, including her mom, and is the only one that lets me cut her nails with no problems. I am sure she will be a wonderful family dog.

Our little Abby is just adorable. She is much smaller than her siblings, but she can growl like a big one. She can be a bit timid but she loves getting attention from people. Despite her small size she seems to need the most space of all. At home she is a fearless conqueror of the house, always looking for gaps in the fence to escape and race through the rooms. She loves to run ... full of energy ... fun to watch!

04/06/2016

The three got their deworming medication again. There was no problem. It must be really tasty.

Here are the current weights:

Aldo 3.05 lb

Ayleen 3.02 lb

Abby 2.10 lb

03/22/2016

Today the puppies had an appointment with our veterinarian Dr. Slenn in Bath. According to the doc they are all healthy with a strong heartbeat. They loved the deworming medication and were in general pretty fearless about the whole situation. Only their mother Fine tried to protect the little ones from the VET who usually performs those unpleasant things like drawing blood, looking into the mouth, eyes and ears.

The staff at the clinic loved the puppies. I guess they were the highlight of the day. And ... a highlight they are!!! All three are soooo cute!

03/20/2016

The little ones are 4 weeks old and are getting more and more active. Whenever they are awake we let them walk in the living room, play with them on the floor and introduce them to various toys that move or make noise. They have also listened to their first thunderstormes (on TV) and will now be introduced to any kind of noise that they will encounter throughout their lives.

When it comes to housebreaking - peeing on the peepad - Aldo and Ayleen are obviously the smartest puppies.

03/13/2016

Our puppies are now 3 weeks old and have started to stand up on all four legs ... still quite wobbly but soooo cute!!! They will soon be able to leave their sleeping place and go potty next door. Let´s see who is the smartest of the three ...

03/06/2016

Ayleen and Aldo finally opened their eyes, too, on day 14. They still wont be able to see properly before day 17 or 18.

03/04/2016

Abby was the first to open her eyes today on day 12.

02/22/2016

Our Fine gave birth to 3 little adorable Havanese puppies. They were born between 2:30 and 5:00 a.m.

First puppy - AYLEEN: female, 170g, cream with white markings

Second puppy - ABBY: female, 150g,  red sable

Third puppy - ALDO: male, 175g, apricot with white markings

02/11/2016

X-ray showed that Fine is expecting 3 puppies. Thank you Dr. Mokos for giving us the exciting news
